Calgary Conference: June 8-10, 2003

Health Related

Those planning to attend from the areas afflicted with SARS including HK, China, Taiwan and Singapore, face the real possibility of a 10 day quarantine period upon arrival in Canada. In view of this possibility, we have advised those individuals that they should cancel their plans for attending GITMA Calgary. We are not alone in this action as other conferences and university programs have taken similar steps. While we regret this action, it was taken to protect those concerned about the transmission of this disease and to act in a responsible manner. While we will miss the participation of our colleagues from these areas, our primary objective is to provide a safe environment for our conference.

Presentation Instructions

Please prepare your presentation using Power Point and bring it on a 3 1/2 inch disk. Each room will have a laptop computer and LCD projector. There will be no overhead projectors - please do not bring transparencies.

Airport to Hotel

From the airport, take the airport shuttle or a taxi. Ask for the Fairmont Palliser hotel. Shuttle costs about $11 Canadian. Taxi costs about $25 Canadian.
